
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology is delighted to announce that Dr. Subrat Kumar Swain has been honored with the KPIT Best Ph.D. Thesis Gold Award in the KPIT Shodh Award 2025. His thesis, titled “Shared Control for Intelligent Vehicles using Game Theory and Reinforcement Learning,” was recognized as the joint best thesis award from both India and abroad by a distinguished jury comprising Dr. Jim Henderson (Director of Engineering, PACCAR India), Prof. Radhakant Padhi (HAL Chair Professor and Associate Professor, Center for Cyber-Physical Systems, IISc Bangalore), and Mr. Tushar K. Adhikary (Business Leader, KPIT). In recognition of this remarkable achievement, the KPIT organizing committee presented Dr. Swain with a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 8.00 lakhs. The award ceremony took place at the KPIT headquarters in Pune on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, where he was felicitated by Mr. Ravi Pandit, Co-Founder and Chairman of KPIT Technologies Ltd.
