The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 1957. It was renamed as Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2014. There are well-established laboratories in the department. The faculty members are well-qualified and have degrees from reputed institutions. They are actively involved in research and consultancy. The department has contributed a lot to the infrastructural and industrial growth in Jharkhand by providing technical expertise and consultancy.
