HACK-A-BIT- One of a kind initiative.
Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra a premier name in the field of education for more than sixty years brings forth it’s new initiative, a hackathon. In its maiden launch, Hack-A-BIT is to become the largest student hackathon in the eastern region of India.
Hack-A-BIT is supposed to be held from 26th to 28th October 2018. The organizers’ i.e IEEE Student Branch BIT Mesra, IET on CAMPUS and the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) expect a massive footfall from all over India and have left no stone unturned for the same.
The participants from other colleges will be given free accommodation as well as travel reimbursement among other essential commodities. The competition has already started with team registration and submission of ideas in their official website-“www.hackabit.in” from the 15th of August and will continue till the 15th of September.
It has also announced its mascot- the Hyena Ada named in the honour of Lady Ada Lovelace, the world’s first programmer.
The Hackathon promises to give students a chance to learn, innovate and excel in the ever-expanding field of technology along with cash prizes of Rs. 65,000 and goodies worth Rs. 2,50,000.
