Apart from the faculties of Chemical Engineering with specific backgrounds in Food Engineering, Fruits and Vegetable Processing Technology, Food Management, Equipment design, Heat and Mass Transfer and Fluid Mechanics, Adjunct Professors, and Professors (Guest) from reputed institutes like CFTRI, and IITs and industries are regularly visiting the department for the augmentation and teaching of the course. Being a multidisciplinary program, faculties from other allied departments i.e., Centre for Quantitative Economics, Bio Engineering and Biotechnology, would be engaged on a requirement basis.

Different wings of Science and Engineering domain experts of BIT, Mesra, teach the 1st year common course of Basic Engineering and Science.
