I am delighted to welcome you all to Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, which has 66 glorious years of excellence in technical education. I am deeply honoured to serve my alma mater as the Dean, post graduate studies.

With a mission to excel globally in the post graduate studies and research, and a passion for research and teaching, you can embark on the institute’s PG and PhD programme in either specialized or multidisciplinary areas of interest. The institute is located in the lush green campus with state-of-the-art classrooms, modern laboratory facilities, library, etc. The institute has highly competent and dedicated faculty members. The support staff are efficient and friendly too.

The DEAN (PGS) office is responsible for defining and maintaining the rules and regulations that govern all post graduate and Ph.D. programs. Please take some time to peruse our pages on PG and PhD ordinances to familiarize yourself with these rules and regulations, and to find relevant forms that students may need. All the PG and PhD theses are now being archived and presented to the world in an accessible manner.
