Greetings from the office of Dean of Academic Programs (Dean AP)!  A hearty welcome to you as you embark on your academic pursuits at the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and congratulations for having chosen to join one of the Nation’s prestigious institutions. The Institute offers UG, PG and Doctoral programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Management disciplines.

BIT Mesra endeavors to become a leader in providing world-class technical education supported by our well qualified and dedicated faculty members offering effective teaching, well-equipped laboratories, state of the art central instrumentation facility, modern class rooms and other support staff. The Institute since its inception in 1955 has successfully established a strong international, national, and local reputation for the quality of its academic programs, faculty, and graduates.

The Dean AP office serves as the administrative centre of contact to all matters concerning academic programs of the Institute. We are committed to quality in all the services this office offers. The office is continuously striving to enhance our student’s educational experience through their exposure to our periodically revised, robust curriculum that focuses on the potential demand and supply of skill sets to make the students employable, our continuous improvement by developing, implementing and reviewing policies, processes, procedures that benefit students, faculty and the other stakeholders.

The office of Dean AP works closely with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the Institute and sees through the process of accreditation, and assures that all the academic programs are in compliance with the national regulatory body’s requirements and meet global standards.
