B.Sc Computer Science

The B.Sc. (Honours/Honours with Research) Computer Science program has been designed in alignment with the principles and recommendations outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The course structure and curriculum fulfill the NEP's vision of a holistic, multidisciplinary, and flexible higher education system. The key areas of compliance are as follows:

1. The total credits of Programme = 161 (minimum of 40, 80 and 120 credits at the end of the first, second and third year is maintained respectively). 
2. Flexible Curriculum and Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)- The programme follows the CBCS framework, offering flexibility in the choice of subjects and electives.

3.  Multidisciplinary Approach -  9 Credits
   The B.Sc. program incorporates relevant interdisciplinary components by offering   courses like

3. BF213     Effective Writing and Presentation Skills  -  2 Credits
4. BF207 Creative and Critical Thinking Skills - 3 Credits

5. Value Added Courses  -  8 Credits

1. CN109 Environmental Science - 2 Credits
2. HS24211 Indian Knowledge System - 2 Credits
3. MT24304 Constitution Of India - 2 Credits
4. BC25321 Co-Curricular and Social Activities - 2 Credits

6. Two skill based vocational courses at the end of first year (Level 1) and at the end of second year (Level 2) shall be offered. These courses will be of 2 credits. (L0-T0-P4) and mandatory for students taking exit after 1^st and 2^nd year. However these courses will be optional and non-credit for other students.
