Journey from BIT Noida

While writing this I am filled with nostalgia…..and a thought that how long and how far I have since I passed from BIT Noida with a dream job in my hand and wings to fly.
We were the first batch at college, and I was the first student to get enrolled with Roll No 1 in BCA and thereafter went on to pursue my MCA. We were a bunch of enthusiasts who had just come out of the comfort of our hometown to embrace and conquer the challenges ahead. Thankful to the teachers and administration for being patient with us as we were all setting up a new saga of success and creating forward a legacy of Birla Institute of Technology. And so here I am, started my career with HCL-Tech one of my dream companies. Got to work with Royal Bank of Scotland and then STMicroelectronics another big manufacturing company at Greater Noida. My biggest achievement was to work for the United Nations at Budapest where I got to gel with people across the world and there I could proudly state that “YES” I am an Indian girl who has travelled across from Gaya a small town in Bihar alone to work stating development and women empowerment of my country to the world.
I am deeply indebted to the faculty, admin and every person associated with BIT Noida for making us what we are today. At present I am working with Capgemini handling one of the biggest FMCG account.
And yes, I walked out of the college not only with the offer letter of my dream job but also a life partner by my side Pranav my classmate at BIT Noida. So what else can I ask for more from BIT campus.

Definition of success varies from day to day. The first step in my success ladder was with the campus placment took place in BIT Noida in the year 2008. Yes, I am proud to be called as BIT Noida Alumni, 2009 passout MCA batch. BIT showed me a vivid vision and path to begin with. The teachers and staff were very supportive. One of my favorite is Mrs. Muntaha Ahmad. Her guidance and soft nature always illuminated our mind in right direction. The curriculum was vast along with practical experience.The campus placement in the last year of the course was outstanding with the participation of top companies and firms. Many companies offered training in the last semester which was a mindful experience for the students. And so was provided by Aricent Technologies, my first company. Aricent was the second company which visited our campus for placement. Other companies which lined up were Accenture, HCL and many more.
After completing my MCA, I joined Aricent Technologies Gurgaon as Software Engineer. The on job training enriched my skills and experience. I learned to be a good team player, focused and determined. With the completion of few onerous tasks, I perceived "Excellence Award" in Aricent Technologies within six months of my work experience. By the grace of god and with hard work, the chain of success continued. Later I decided to be the part of a big internet typhoon, Info Edge private limited. I joined as a core team memeber of Naukri.com. The designation lifted. I was now a Senior Software Enginner. My shoulder was loaded with bigger responsibilities :-). Indeed I enjoyed the experience. My skills started shinning and again I achieved "Excellence" award within six months of my job in Naurki.com. This time the award came in the form of money :-P.
My next move was with one of the best MNC, Adobe systems, which is still recognized among "Best place to work". I joined Adobe with a pride and honour. Adobe not only amplified my skills and learnings but also gave me a platform to represent my presentation skills. I was a proud speaker in CF summit 2018, Las Vegas, US. The seven years of experience with Adobe was superlative. I ended my journery with Adobe as "Lead Software Enginner" and decided to migrate to Germany with my family. Nevertheless, every jounery has some ups and down. Never retreat and never be diffident was in my portfolio. The start of my career in a new country with a different language was little rough. I was demotived but thought not to give up. "Try try untill you succeed" is my favourite norm. Soon I was hired by a German company with a role as "Senior Automation Engineer". As I said, Success has different meaning . For me success is achieved by what you desire even though it is not a big thing in anyone's mind or eyes.
Coming from a conservative family background, my extended family members always raised a question on my higher education. But with a good educational center and own family suppport, a woman can also be a trailblazer for anyone. With this I end my story. Thanks for reading.

Initial Journey :
At the outset I would like to express my thanks to all participants of my professional education journey at BIT , Lecturers, my companion students and all acquainted Bit members .
Apart from education I had learned the most valuable things: how to cope up with unprecedented challenges , self standing , self decision taking .These qualities let me do what I wanted .
Though I am not a good writer, here I will try to briefly summarize my professional journey laconically .
Post BCA ,MCA I attended two companies in campus placement in college and I am feeling lucky since I was not selected and it was a tough time as recession was at peak ,though there other opportunities opened for job however my mind was pushing me to do something different . After completion of Entrepreneurship mgmt from IIT,Delhi ,I went back to my hometown Ranchi and started exploring agriculture business potential ,the main cause behind this was to make Big work opportunities to mass no. of Locals .
To be honest this was only surrounding who were ready to listen, tagging me , interviewing me to weigh my Leadership. So this way I was a Boss for 5 women Listeners with only Rs.320 /- of expense. It was extremely challenging as it was not at all as similar as assumed by any professional .
Uneducated ,unskilled ,Poor and afraid people were a big challenge for me . But my good command of the Mundari language worked a lot. I started with 4-5 local tribals in 2010 .
First of all I gained their faith so that they stop short term migration to other states. Slowly it was wonderful to see their response and we turned 50 in a few years . Now there are 200-300 direct associates to HM Herbals ,covering Jammu ,Jharkhand ,Gujarat ,Maharashtra, southern part of India ,many more and even Foreign also. From 2013-2015 I started staying at village and totally cut of myself from city to work .Agriculture Successfully exported Exotic fruits and vegetable to UAE .In 2015 post blessing with baby I had to back to ranchi give my best to Little Master so,again apply big change in my business and added more and more small farmers to supply us produce under our guidance to maintain quality to serve international market place .
I have always been proud of being Bitian . I am privileged , you find me suitable for your purpose and I hope this writeup will be useful for those who want to do something different .

There is a very thin line between success and failure. For me , success is always doing my best in life and achieving the desired goal.
When I look back as a student, for me success was the achievement of a desired goal, like getting admission to a good college, a good job.
In this line, when I was preparing for my MCA, I got selected in number of colleges. It was a tough decision to make, as no one had done MCA from my family members earlier.
From all those institutes, I selected BIT, as it is big brand name everywhere. Most important thing, my parents supported me blindly and I am happy with no regrets at all.
I joined BIT Noida campus which added an edge to my personality that helped in my carrier growth. My professors supported me so well that by the end of the course, I had been selected in one of the top company named “TCS”.
Now, after almost 10 years of passing out, I’m working as a “Senior Consultant” in “CAPGEMINI” . As a BIT alumni, I am just thankful to my professors and peers who are still in contact with me that is the best part of being an BITan.

Some people believe that college life entails living it up to the fullest and having a wild time. While it was very different for me. After wasting three years (or more) in various sectors after intermediate, it was time to focus on my profession and study hard for a better future.
Well, before my emotions overwhelm me and prevent me from being able to explain myself later, allow me to thank BIT Noida and all the faculties for offering everything. From the carefully chosen curriculum to the instructional approach, it was just exceptional since I could observe positive outcomes following the course.
I first studied there for my BBA in Bachelor Economics from 2010 to 2013 and my MBA in Finance from 2013 to 2015. I am incredibly grateful to the institute for everything.
Since I studied science up until my 12th grade year, choosing to major in commerce was a difficult choice. Nevertheless, I'm glad I made it, and the teachers deserve praise for making everything seem so simple that I now regret my choice to finish schooling in science.
By God's grace and after many long days and restless nights of effort, I am now employed by Gartner as a Senior Research Specialist in the TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecom) sector.
I got the chance to work with BalckRock, Moodys, and Evalueserve before I joined Gartner.
I would be eager to support my juniors in any way I can and would love to reconnect with all the alumni.

I had a business plan in place for when she would grow up to be an entrepreneur. Watching my parents navigate life in their traditional workplaces, I grew up aspiring for impacting individual lives positively and building her own brand.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from BIT-Mesra and a Masters in Human Resource and Marketing from IMT Ghaziabad, I started my journey working at the Tata Tele-Services. A brief stint there, I realised soon that I had more to offer than just become part of the 9-to-5 grind. On an impulse and armed with intuition and grit, I joined HR Power House, a start-up that worked on bringing efficient management solutions across industries, in 2011.
I am instrumental in developing purpose-oriented life coaching including career guidance for students across age groups, running successful process operations and procedures, service standards for business excellence. Reaching out at the grassroots and making an impact across age groups, I fulfilled my dream, making use of various tools & techniques from psychometrics, positive psychology & NLP. Later I went on to pursue becoming a Happiness Coach from the University of California, Berkley.
In order to fulfil my childhood dream, I conceptualised the idea of ‘Your Next Move’ - a one-stop shop for professionals looking to upgrade, upskill & uplift themselves through interventions. Today, I have over 200 sessions impacting 1 lakh people through learning & development initiatives (Soft & Behavioural Skills & life coaching) and was also awarded the ‘Outstanding Woman of the Year 2021’ by the Global Trainers, Coaches & Counsellors Organisation. I had the opportunity to serve the top Corporate Houses of the country along with the Indian Army, BSF & amongst many top schools of the country.
I love traveling and treasures helping people live their life happily and productively.

I did my management course from BIT Noida in the year 2008 and still I remember concepts and practical learnings I gained during my education in BIT. Through Noida Campus I got an opportunity to visit BIT Mesra Main Campus where we represented BIT Noida Campus in annual Fest. After visiting our main campus I got to see the rich heritage and stature of our institute and I reliased how BIG is our institute and gained more respect and knowledge about BIT Mesra.
BIT Noida is one college where still I see my all old professors and all of them are so experienced that it all depends on the student how much he / she can learn from them. None of the professors expressed their inability for extra sessions and discussions post class room sessions. I still remember classroom lectures of few professors Dr SL Gupta Sir; Arun Mital Sir; Asha Prasad Ma'am; Rachana Prateek Ma'am; Preety Bajaj Ma’am and Ritu Jain Ma'am etc. Best Part of lectures was easy concepts explained in very crisp and practical manner with full of corporate examples and case studies. Summer Projects along with Live Classroom Projects was full of learning where I learned team management skills; problem solving and analytical skills. All the learning I am using in my daily corporate live where it's now 12 years experience in banking. I started my journey with Wealth Management and Personal Finance job profile for 4 years then moved to Credit Card sales supervisory job role for next 7 years where I have grown as Area Sales Manager to Zonal Sales Manager. Now currently I am working as Deputy Vice President handling Credit Underwriting Job role as Regional Credit Manager. It's been great journey in Banking industry which is evolving very fast and is backbone of our economy.
My recommendation and suggestion is to choose BIT without any thought as course structure and course fees is among the best in entire management colleges. At last every student should always remember that learning from best professors is always beneficial because practical teachings only go a long way when we start our corporate carrier.

My heart fills with joy while writing this. It was a great experience studying and learning at BIT Noida. I graduated in 2007 in BSc. Animation and Multimedia course. We had a full cooperation with the faculty and the staff during our time of study. The exposure of various aspect of animation and film making helped me to practice multidisciplinary projects in my career. The fundamental which I studied at BIT helped me to experiment and grow in academics and industry both.
Currently I am working as an assistant professor in Department of Design at Sharda University, Greater Noida. I am pursuing my PhD in Design from Banasthalli University and have been working as a Branding consultant with couple of Ad Agency like Auromira Films and IT company Scopegen India.

As a kid, I was fascinated with cartoons like tom & jerry but never knew what it is called and how these drawings move, that was a reason I was inclined towards sketching and was clear that I wanted to build my career in this stream. Was fortunate enough that a got to know about this course from a friend and enrolled in it. At that time animation was a booming industry and a new concept to many in my town. The course structure, faculties, and staff effectively contributed to the development of my skills. Until now I am in touch with few faculties and they still help me out on the professional front. I undoubtedly take pride in being alumni of BIT, Noida.

Birla Institute of technology, what can I say about this institution. But one thing that I can surely reveal with proud is that getting admission here was one of the finest decisions I had taken in my life. I came here to pursue a bachelor's degree in Animation and multimedia but got to know about what I really wanted from life after beginning the journey.
In less than a year's time I was given the tag of a "dancer" and the best part of this was my faculty's involvement in enhancing and promoting my talent. Each and every faculty member looked up to me whenever I was on stage and that was pretty enough to get the motivation to go all out. 2014 was the year when I completed my graduation and had perfect vision of moving ahead. Three years down the line, I am a sports journalist working with Indian Express's website.
Though, I'm still left with a lot things which are lined up as far as my career is concerned but I can surely say one thing that the kind of confidence and vision I have about my life and career is because I was a part of this institution and was under the guidance of some highly talented yet sweet professors who always motivated me with every step I took. Just want to thank BIT for making me who I am presently !!!

I graduated from BIT Noida in the 2009 batch. I worked for a firm as an employee briefly after completing my course in Animation & Multimedia. Freelancing was my choicest way of working.
In some years I had a working team and I kept looking to formalize the setup. In the year 2014 I registered my firm. I founded Graphics Destination.
Building and growing a team from the ground up is challenging in many respects, it needs internal balance and external effectiveness. Constant networking and delivering on deadlines are central to this process. All this learning to carry out my journey was inculcated during my learning process at BIT Noida.
We learned these in real time and managed several challenges. We do different kinds of advertising activities like digital Media promotion and print media, all of which was a part of curriculum of BAM course and delivered diligently by faculty members.
Currently we have a team of 20 members. it is based at RDC Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad. We have now completed 8 successful years of working and to celebrate this we had a small vacation at Jim Corbett Park.
A firm like ours has to deal with many unique situations and we have been aware of the technical and IT aspect of the workplace. Having said that, this way of working does have its moments.
