Squadron Leader Anamika Jha, a retired Combat Officer of the Indian Air Force with 10 years of service, currently works as an Operation Manager at Amazon, supporting US & UK Selling Partners. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from BIT Mesra, Patna Campus, graduating in the 2010 batch, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering from Air Force Technical College. During her military career, she exhibited exceptional leadership skills as a combatant in the Surface to Air Guided Weapon (SAGW) System being deployed in hostile geographical conditions. Leading a team of 80+ soldiers and weapon experts, she ensured round-the-clock surveillance of Indian airspace and achieved the highest professional category in operations and maintenance of SAGW system. In Operation Balakot, she and her team played a vital role in active combat in February 2019. At Amazon, she received the Extra Miler Award in 2021 and 2022 for enhancing pre-operations training and customer synergy. She also contributes to Amazon's Diversity Hiring team, actively promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities for candidates with hearing impairments. In her own words,” My education and experiences at this institute have played a pivotal role in laying a solid technical foundation, enabling me to lead the Maintenance and Operation of critical Defence System.
