Overview
In September 2006, the Department of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics was established. Three Departments have been offering Courses for UG students for the last 19 years. The Physics Department had the opportunity to run PG courses ( IMSc in Physics ) from 2013 to 2018. IMSc in Mathematics course was offered by the Mathematics Department. From 1st July 2025, three Departments i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics have been made as one Department, known as the Science Department. Unification is done to accelerate the academic and Research work.

- Imparting strong fundamental concepts to students in the field of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematical Sciences and motivating them towards innovative and emerging areas of research.

Laboratory Facility and Consultancy
The department has a research facility for growing thin film sensors, transducers, and semiconductors. Equipment such as Plasma RF and DC sputtering machines, spin coater, sol-gel chambers, etc are available. Jar-test apparatus (flocculator); Dissolution rate test apparatus; Turbidity meter; Colony counter; Conductivity meter; pH meter; UV-visible spectrophotometer; Incubator; and Autoclave are available. Viscosity, Density measurement, and Optical microscopy facilities are available in the Department. Consultancy related to the quality determination of fruit Juice, pulp, milk, paneer, etc. is available.
