A 2-Day Digital Painting Workshop was organised by the Department of Animation & Multimedia at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, off-Campus Noida, on 9th and 10th October, led by Mr. Rajat Pandit. Mr Rajat, an alumnus of the B.Sc. (Animation & Multimedia) course, BIT Noida – 2005-2008 batch, is an eminent digital painter with nearly 17 years of experience in the animation and multimedia industry. In the recent past, he has been associated with organisations like the National Book Trust [NBT] and Prana Studios, among others, as a digital painting and design professional. During the 2-day workshop, Mr. Rajat explained to the students the nuances of the pre-production and post-production pipeline associated with any animation and multimedia project. His hands-on approach captivated the students, and they engaged extensively in productive discussions during the workshop. Mr. Rajat also shared constructive tips on making an effective portfolio and encouraged students to work hard and make a mark for themselves in the animation & multimedia industry. The event was coordinated by Mr. Partha Acharya, Assistant Professor, Department of Animation & Multimedia, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, off-Campus Noida.
