University Polytechnic B.I.T.MESRA, the 4th-semester student team of BMLT, Manish Sharma and Sangam Pandey, under the mentorship of Dr Anubha Singh, invented "Smart walking stick " and bagged the prize of Rs. 1 lakh in the Innovation Contest of BIT NISHAN - 23. In the final round held by BITOSA Kolkata on 13 January 2024, the team won the First Prize of Rs. 50,000.
