The Department of Management at Birla Institute of Technology was established in 1998 to carry forward the legacy of BIT Mesra to focus on management education with the intent to encourage intellectual curiosity, management studies, academics and learning. Since then the institute has set landmark in four major areas of academic excellence - world-class infrastructure, highly accomplished faculty, a motivated student body and distinction in research. Through its commitment and professionalism, BIT Noida is nurturing management professionals who are more than ready to manage and lead in today’s dynamic, volatile and challenging business environment.

Management Department of BIT Noida offers a two-year full-time and a part time/slow pace Master of Business Administration programme and also commenced 5 yrs Integrated Master of Business Administration (IMBA) Programme and 5 yrs Integrated Master of Business Economics (IMBE) Programme w.e.f. July 2011 and July 2012 respectively. The curricula of all the credit based flexible programmes are carefully reviewed, updated, upgraded, diversified and in pace with the needs of the industrial scenario of this country, with the help of BIT main campus.

A Doctoral programme in management is also conducted by the department which aims at developing world-class managers capable of solving complex managerial problems.

The pedagogy used (team-based projects, case-studies, field studies, formal and informal in-class presentations) are designed to cater to many of the specific demands coming from the private sector arenas, including problem-solving, creativity, communication, motivation and negotiation, the ability to make decisions and the capacity to learn from personal experience
