The ICEAPM-2016: International Conference on Chemical Engineering and Advanced Polymeric Material aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Chemical Engineering and Technology. It also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the field of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Polymeric Materials.

About Institute

 Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi was established in 1955 by the philanthropist and industrialist Late ShriB.M.Birla. The initiative was taken with a vision to provide quality learning and dissemination of knowledge in engineering and was committed for the advancement of our country towards the top rank of the national as well as international trade. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctoral level programmes in diverse disciplines of science, engineering, architecture, pharmaceutical sciences and management. The institute attained the status of Deemed University in 1986 and now it has been extended laterally through the establishment of several extension centres at Noida, Kolkata, Ranchi, Jaipur, Allahabad, Deoghar and Patna. International centres of BIT, Mesra are located at Muscat (Sultanate of Oman) and Ras-Al-Khaima (UAE).

About Department of Chemical Engineering & Technology

The Department was established in 1994 and currently offers two undergraduate programmes in B.E. (Chemical Engineering) & B.E. (Chemical Engineering–Plastic & Polymer) and three postgraduate programmes in M.E. (Chemical Engineering), M.Tech. (Polymer Science & Technology) and M.Sc. (Food Technology). The Department also provides facilities for doctoral research in the fields of Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science and Technology, Food Science and Technology. The Department received national recognition by winning the Gold Trophy for Plasticon Award 2012 in the category of Best Educational Institution Contributing to Plastics at the 8th International Plastics Exhibition and Conference. Currently a number of Alumni of this department are established as researcher and/or employee of various pioneer universities and organisation around the world. This department has also national and international research collaborators at both academic and industrial level. This is a FIST department. Several sponsored research projects from DST, MNRE, AICTE, UGC, DRDL etc. are currently under supervision of faculty members of the department.
