Instructions to Candidates for attending the XXVII Convocation

 
     
 
  • For candidates who are attending the Convocation, the Application Form, duly filled-in along with enclosures as specified in the application form, must be sent to the Registrar so as to reach before 17th March 2017 CLICK HERE FOR APPLICATION FORM
     
  • For candidates who are not attending the Convocation, the Application Form for degree in absentia, duly filled-in along with enclosures as specified in the application form,  must be sent to the Registrar so as to reach between 27th March - April 5th, 2017 CLICK HERE FOR APPLICATION FORM
     
  • The Recipient of Ph.D. degree in the XXVII Convocation ( in person / absentia) are required to make payment of Convocation. The Registration Fee of  Rs 2000/-  by DD in favour of "Registrar, Birla Institute of Technology", Payable at Ranchi.
     
  • For the Degree recipients who require accommodation on campus, the same shall be provided in common rooms of Boys Hostel No.12,13 and Girls Hostel No.9. Respective hostel staffs may be contacted for this purpose or assistance in this regard.
     
  • The Gowns, Hoods/Mortar Boards will be issued between 10.00 AM to 5:00 PM on Thursday, 23rd March, 2017 in Room No. 211  of the Institute Main Building. A refundable amount of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) will have to be deposited at the specified counter before these items are issued.
     
  • Students are requested to follow the timings strictly and gowns, Hoods / Mortar Boards will not be issued after the specified timing under any circumstances. You are advised to make your travel plan accordingly.
     
  • Candidates intending to receive the Degree certificate at the Convocation are required to wear the gown, hood/mortar board for the occasion and must record their attendance and occupy their seats by 10.00 AM on 24th March, 2017 at the Convocation venue.
     
  • After Convocation, the Candidates are required to return the gowns, hoods / mortar boards in good condition and collect refund of Rs 1000/-.
     
  • Entrance to the Convocation Venue (G.P. Birla Auditorium) for candidates will close at 10.30 AM sharply.
     

 

 
 

 All Alumni who, having passed out before 2015 and not collected the Degrees so far, may download application form from the downloaded section on the home page
