My native place is  GUNUPUR, a small, beautiful town in Odisha. My early days spent with my friends reminds me the beauty of nature lies in GUNUPUR. I still remember the small NCC ground near Bansadhara River. 

After completing my 10th class from Govt. Boys High School, Gunupur, Odisha, I took admission in Gunupur College and completed my +2 Science in 1987 and +3 Science in 1990. I moved to Berhampur University in 1990, where I completed my M.Sc in Mathematics, M. Phil in Mathematics and ended up with my Ph.D. in Mathematics. I joined Birla Institute of Technology in 2004.  My interest in research driven me to Mississippi State University for further advanced research. At present, I am in Birla Institute of Technology, enjoying with my research and teaching students.
