Workshop on Communication Skills

A Workshop on " Communication Skills" was organized by the Department of Management for school students on April 24, 2023. The workshop comprises the activity-based learning session on Communication Skills and the Competition on Writing Skills and Pictionary. Certificates were provided to all the participants and the winners in the event.

PICTIONARY

The Language Club of the Management Department organized an event “Pictionary” on March 21, 2023 under the guidance of In-charge Management Dr. Roopali Sharma & Language club coordinator Dr. Ritu Pareek where the participants narrated a story based on the picture displayed to them. Time allotted to the participants was 10-15 minutes for the write up and 5 minutes for the narration.

Student coordinators for the event:  Kashish Singhal (Btech 6th Sem) and Sarthak Sharma (BBA 4). The winners of the event were: 1st Position Yash Raj B.Tech (6th Sem EEE)and 2nd Position Hardik Malik  (BCA 2nd Sem).

 

FINPRO-GRAPHICS

An Event on Infographic Poster Competition

On 18 January 2023, the Department of Management at BIT Mesra, Jaipur off Campus conducted Fin-Pro Graphics, an event for designing digital posters on “E-rupee”. Several students participated in this event, which was open to all departments. There was a total of 15 teams, each with two members. The event was coordinated by Dr. Roopali Sharma, Mrs, Pankaj Sharma & Dr. Priyanshu Sharma.

The event was organized as an exhibition. The Students Notice Board Area housed all the posters. All the faculty members and students gathered close to the board during the break. All the faculty members and Director Sir evaluated the posters and wrote the number assigned to the poster that they thought was the best among the rest. The top two winning teams were determined after the scores were tallied. On the next day, the results were displayed on the notice board. The first position was bagged by Tanishq Tayal and Manan Tak and Abhijeet Kumar and Vithal Soni bagged the second position.

 

TRIVIA FIGHT

HR Club of the Department of Management hosted HRM Club activity- “TRIVIA FIGHT 2023” on 16TH January 2023. This activity and gathering was open to the students of all the Departments for participation. There were 11 teams in total, each with two members; there were total 22 participants.

Three rounds were conducted, covering every aspect of HRM. The event began with some motivational words from Dr. G.P. Mishra- Professor, Department of Management.  After the speech, the participants were informed about the rules and regulations and then the 1st round i.e., a quick fire round began. The round ended with elimination of some teams and the remaining team proceeded to the next round, which involved questions related to basic knowledge. Two teams advanced to the final round.

Each team faced rapid fire questions in the final round. After the points were totalled, the results were announced in which Hemant Singh Shekhawat and Vinayak of BBA VI semester bagged the 1st position.

Vote of Thanks and group photo marked the end of the event.

 

Sustainable Product Pitch- Innovative/ Challenging/ Exciting

The event was organized by Markothem (Marketing Club) under the guidance Mrs. Purvi Mathur ( Faculty, Department of Management) to create a platform to showcase the pitching skills and present sustainable ideas to design our future. Vinayak Chaturvedi of BBA Semester V was the student coordinator.

The event was organized on September 20, 2022. The judges of the event were Dr. Roopali Sharma (Professor & In charge, Department of Management), Mrs. Nidhi Singh (Faculty, Department of Environmental Sciences), and Dr. Kusum Lata Mishra (Faculty, Department of Management).

The winner team was from the BBA Semester I. Vinayak Chaturvedi of BBA Semester V was the student coordinator.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO JAIPUR DAIRY ON SEPTEMBER 16, 2022

An industrial visit to JAIPUR DAIRY was organized by the Department of Management on September 16, 2022 in which the BBA and MBA students along with faculty members - Dr. Jyoti K Chandel, Mrs. Purvi Mathur, Dr. Priyanshu Sharma and Dr.Kusum Lata Mishra participated. The students interacted with the HR & Production Departments and got the insights about the products prepared by the Dairy like Paneer, Buttermilk, Butter. Information about the procurement of raw material, market for finished products, advertising, distribution channel etc. was shared with the students.

An Invited  Talk on “What Brought You Here, Will not Take You There” was conducted by Mr. Harshit Malviya, Deputy Vice-President & Head HR- Commercial Banking & Government Banking, AU Small Finance Bank on 06 September 2022. Dr. Roopali Sharma-In charge   Management Department , welcomed the guest . Mr. Harshit talked about significance of choosing the right career path. He motivated the students to make the best of campus life. In the last he emphasized upon the role of hardwork, communication skills and dedication in successful professional life. BUSINESS BUZZ 2022

 Department of Management hosted business buzz and Business Buzz 2022 on August 30, a gathering that was open to all departments There were 18 teams in total, each with two members.

Three rounds were conducted , covering every aspect of management. The event began with some motivational words from Dr. Roopali. During the intermission, an audience. round was held in which both students as well as faculty members participated actively.

Each team received five questions in the final round. After the points were totaled, the results were announced in which Zahid Jabbar Khan & Monit Parashare of ECE & CSE bagged the 1st position and Heena Jethwani and Sanya Jain bagged the second one.

International Conference on Sustainability: Research, Education and Practice (SREP-2022) , 30-31 May, 2022

The Government of India has launched the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to honour and celebrate 75 years of progressive India and the magnificent history of its people, culture, and achievements. The Department of Management of BIT Mesra, Jaipur, Lalpur, Noida, and Patna is hosting the two days International Conference on Sustainability: Research, Education and Practice on 30-31May, 2022.

This conference provides a platform for deliberations on sustainability as a form of celebration

of the progress of the country. In the contemporary world, sustainability has emerged as an important area of focus in research, education, and practice. Sustainability is a paradigm concerned about the future in which environmental, societal, and economic considerations are balanced in the pursuit of improved quality of life.

The conference has Three main tracks: Sustainability and Human Resource Management, Sustainability in Marketing Practices and Research, and Sustainability in Public Services and General Management. Seventy Seven Research papers will be presented under different tracks in two days international conference covering the Sustainability in the various areas identified

The conference has distinguished expert speakers from academia and industry  to deliver Plenary Sessions during the course of the event.

The Conference have four plenary sessions by the distinguished speakers:

Markothan- Marketing Club of BIT, Jaipur, Campus organized an event on  “Tintinnabulation” – Rephrasing of Advertising Jingles

Markothan- Marketing club of BIT, Jaipur Campus organized a student event on “ Tintinnabulation”- Rephrasing of the Advertising Jingles on 23rd March, 2022. In this three teams participated and there was a round for the audience to participate in identifying the jingles of various brands of the companies.

The event was judged by Dr. Jyoti Kumar Chandel, Assistant Professor- Department of Management and Mrs. Nidhi Singh, Associate Lecturer- Department of Environmental Science. Team II (Swastik Sharma and Harsh Tongia) of BBA VIth semester was declared winner of the event.

The event was successful in enhancing understanding about the concept of Jingles and its impact on advertising recalling.

A webinar on “Digital Transformation and Service Transition”  organized under the SARC Jaipur, 19th March, 2022

A Webinar on “Digital Transformation and Service Transition” was conducted by  Mr. Aashish Singh, The Program Director, HCL America Inc. on 19th March, 2022.

Mr. Aashish talked about the digital transformation and its utility. The areas where digital transformations are taking place being identified in IT Process, Operations- Business Model, HR Procurement and Organization Culture. He also gave an assignment to the students on designing a career model with incorporation of challenges and technology up gradation. The Target audience for this session was Management and Engineering students. The session was interactive and knowledge based.

FinPro -Finance Club of BIT Jaipur Campus organized an event on “Decoding Union Budget 2022: Impact and Analysis”

FinPro - Finance Club of BIT Jaipur Campus organized a student event on "Decoding Union Budget 2022: Impact and Analysis" on February 10, 2022. In the event four teams qualified and gave each other neck-to-neck competition. The event was judged by Dr. Piyush Gupta- Assistant Professor, CSE and Dr. J. K. Chandel, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Management.

Team A ( Akshat Jangir- BBA VI, Aryan Jain-BBA I, Abhijeet Kmar -BBA I and Niharika Gupta -BBA I) from Department of Management was declared winner of the event.

The event was successful in elaborating important highlights of Union Budget 2022 and its sector-wise analysis. 

Business Quiz -2022

Business Quiz -2022 was conducted by the Department of Management, BIT Jaipur Campus on January 18, 2022 using Virtual Platform of MS Teams. Dr. Roopali Sharma- Prof. and Incharge and other faculty members –Mrs. Purvi Mathur, Mrs. Pankaj Sharma, Dr. Kusum Lata Mishra encouraged students during the event.

This event was organized for the curious minds to analyze their knowledge and to develop competitive skills. The competition covered various areas identified related to General Knowledge, Business, Brands and Entrepreneurs.

Abhijay Tambi of BBA –II and Vandhan Mehta of BBA – VI of Team A were the winners based on end-scores.
