The Thirty Second National Convention of Aerospace Engineers is being organized by The Institution of Engineers (India), Jharkhand State Centre in association with Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi at the Department of Space Engineering & Rocketry during October 27 — 28, 2018 with a Focal Theme:
ADVANCES IN AEROSPACE SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGIES
Recent developments made towards the development of Indigenous Launch vehicles, Aircrafts, Missiles, Weapon Systems, Platforms and Allied Equipment for our Defence Services at leading organisations such as Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) calls for more active participation of Industries and Academic Institutions. The expertise available in our country is being utilized by several other nations as well. The progress in these areas can be well recognized by the successful flight tests of Tejas, GSLV, PSLV, NAG, Agni-V, SRE, RLV, micro aerial vehicles, Scramjet engine tests, etc.
SCOPE
The National Convention provides a forum for Engineers, Technologists, Scientists and Academicians to come together and discuss State-of-Art technologies on topics of Aerospace Engineering for possible collaboration and information sharing. Focussed discussion on the advances in the Aerospace Sciences and Technologies will be made. This is expected to motivate the young participants to assess the future perspective and contribute towards the technological challenges ahead. Key Note Address, Vikram Sarabhai Memorial Lecture, State-of-Art Lectures and Invited Talks will be delivered by eminent engineers / scientists.
ABOUT THE INSTITUTION OF ENGINEERS(INDIA)
The Institution of Engineers (India) or IEI is the largest multidisciplinary professional body that encompasses 15 engineering disciplines and gives engineers a global platform from which to share professional interest. IEI has membership strength of above 0.8 million. Established in 1920, with its HQrs at 8 Gokhale Road, Kolkata 700020, IEI has served the engineering fraternity for over nine decades. In this period of time it has been inextricably linked with the history of modern day engineering. In 1935, IEI was incorporated by Royal Charter and remains the only professional body in India to be accorded this honour. Today, its quest for professional excellence has given it a place of pride in almost every prestigious and relevant organization across the globe. IEI functions among professional engineers, academicians and research workers. It provides a vast array of technical, professional and supporting services to the Government, Industries, Academia and the Engineering fraternity, operating from over 121 Centres located across the country. The Institution has established R&D centres at various locations in the country and also provides grant-in aid to its members to conduct research and development on engineering subjects. IEI conducts Section A & B Examinations in different Engineering disciplines, the successful completion of which
is recognized as equivalent to Degree in appropriate field of Engineering of recognized Universities of India by the

PROCEEDINGS
The Invited Lectures and Technical Papers will be published in Proceedings, which will be made available to the registered delegates. Papers will be included in the Proceedings, only when it is presented, and the Registration Fee is paid in time.
SOUVENIR
A Souvenir containing the Abstracts of the Key Note Address, Vikram Sarabhai Memorial Lecture. State-of¬Art Lectures, Invited Lectures and Technical Papers will be published. Tariff for advertisements in limited pages is as follows:
• Back cover (Colour) Rs 50,000/- + 5% GST
• Inside cover (Colour) Rs 30,000/- + 5% GST
• Inside full page (Colour) Rs 20,000/- + 5% GST
• Inside full page (B&W) Rs 10,000/- +5% GST
VENUE
The Convention will be held at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, which is about 26 Km from Ranchi Airport and 16 Km from Ranchi Railway Station. Ranchi is connected to Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore and Kolkata by Air and all major cities by Rail. The Institute is situated amidst 780 - Acre of picturesque surroundings, having confluence of rivers and natural forest. The climate is expected to be dry during October and temperature will be in the range of 15° C to 27°C.
REGISTRATION
Registration Form along with the Registration Fee to be sent to the Organising Secretary, latest by September 30, 2018. This will cover the Proceedings, Souvenir and Registration Kit, besides Lunch, Dinner and Refreshments.
Registration fees are as follows :
• Sponsored Delegates from Industries : Rs 5,000/- +18% GST
• Delegates from R & D Organisations
and Academic Institutions : Rs 3,500/- +18% GST
• Corporate Members of IEI (Individual) : Rs 2,000/- +18% GST
• Students : Rs 1,000/- +18% GST
(After September 30, 2018, an additional amount of ` 500/- to be paid as late fee).
SUPPORT
Support for the National Convention is solicited from R & D Organisations, Industries, Professional Bodies and Institutes, which will entitle the Sponsoring Agency for nomination of a few Delegates free of charge.
ACCOMMODATION
Limited accommodation will be arranged for the participants (students/ research scholars) in the Research Scholar Hostel, situated within the Campus.
Delegates can book their accomodation in Hotel Park Prime, Ranchi on payment basis. Hotel Park Prime is around 10.6 kms from Birsa Munda Airport and 6.4 kms from Ranchi Railway Station. For booking, an email can be sent to stay.pprch@chocolatehotels.in or fom.pprch@chocolatehotels.in mentioning NCAE - BIT Mesra in the subject line of the email. A copy of the email must be marked to ncae2018@gmail.com. Daily pick up and drop arrangement from BIT campus will be arranged by Bus.
