Dr. Sneha Singh has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India, since 2016. She received her PhD (Technology) in the domain of Nanobiotechnology, from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, in 2015. Her research interests span Nanobiotechnology, Functional Biomaterials, Phytomedicines, Antimicrobials & Tissue Engineering Regenerative medicine. Her lab focuses on developing different nanomaterials, phytobioactives, and smart biomaterials for biomedical applications. They have optimized the fabrication of functionalized organic and inorganic nanomaterials for various applications, including infection control,nano-theranostic and tissue engineering. In addition, they also explore bioprospecting and phytobioactives for biotechnological and therapeutic applications. The lab focuses on developing new generation smart biomaterials, including stimuli-responsive polymers, composites and ceramics functionalized with phytobioactives and nanomaterials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicines while conducting active research collaborations with nationally and internationally renowned institutes of eminence.
