Career Summary-

Dr. Sohini Ghosh is an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Management at the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Patna Campus. With over 16 years of academic and industry experience, she brings a unique blend of practical HR expertise and scholarly insight to her role. Her transition from the corporate world, where she accumulated extensive experience in Human Resources, allows her to effectively bridge practical knowledge with theoretical frameworks in her teaching and research.

Dr. Ghosh holds a Ph.D. in Management, an MBA (HR Major, Marketing Minor) from MAKAUT (formerly WBUT), and a Master's degree in Human Development from Calcutta University. Her research and teaching focus primarily on Human Resource Management (HRM) and Marketing.

Beyond her core teaching responsibilities, Dr. Ghosh is actively engaged in institutional service, having organized workshops, conferences and managed various administrative functions. She is dedicated to student mentorship, currently supervising three Ph.D. scholars and having successfully guided several undergraduate and postgraduate projects.

Project on Comparative Study on Medical Facilities and Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Measures

Project details:-

A comprehensive survey was conducted to get equipped with the knowledge of the latest medical facilities practiced in the companies and to know about the various safety measures adopted by the different companies. The data of 8 companies, other than Castrol were collected, analyzed and compared with that of Castrol and recommendations were given accordingly.

Project on Comparative Study between Male and Female regarding Job Satisfaction in the IT Sector (Age group-20-30 years)

Project details:-

The study was conducted to find out the difference between the level of job satisfaction among male and female IT professionals and also to assess whether there was any significant difference in job satisfaction level between married and unmarried professionals.
