Professional Background

Dr. Prateem is an accomplished academic and industry professional with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Patna, specializing in smart grids, power system analysis, and the integration of machine learning applications in electrical engineering. His career reflects a strong synergy between academia and industry. Prior to joining BIT Mesra, he served as a Grid Compliance Specialist Engineer at GE Vernova, Chennai, where he led grid code compliance studies and advanced inverter modeling for international markets. He also worked as a Power System Engineer at Continuum Associates, LLC, contributing to power system studies for large-scale renewable energy projects. Earlier, he was an Assistant Professor at Presidency University, Bangalore, and began his professional journey as a Software Developer at Oracle India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, where he contributed to the development of investment banking platforms. With multidisciplinary expertise spanning power systems, renewable integration, grid compliance, and software development, Dr. Prateem brings a rich blend of research depth and practical industry insight to his teaching and scholarly pursuits. He is an active member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and the Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
