Professional Background

I work in the field of Environmental Science and Engineering. My broad research area is Groundwater and surface water quality management, GIS and ANN modeling of environmental systems. Currently i am working on Biochar application in water quality management.

Current Sponsored Projects
  1. Co-PI in DST- FIST (Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure) grant to the dept of civil and environmental engg of one crore for five years from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, for the project entitled “Strengthening Research in Monitoring and Remediation of Chemical Contaminants of Emerging Concern for clean and potable water”. The grant supported the purchase of an FTIR-Microscope as the major equipment in this project, which is used in Microplastic analysis.
  2. PI in Jharkhand council of Science, technology and innovation (JCSTI) funded project on “Designing of drinking water system for the removal of groundwater fluoride using biochar derived from agro industrial waste” (2025-2027)
