The XIX Convocation of Birla Institute of Technology for
conferring the Degrees/ Diplomas
to all PhD Scholars,
Postgraduates & Undergraduate
candidates who have qualified in
their respective programmes
after February 2008 will be held
on Monday, the 30th
of March 2009 at 10.30 AM in the
Institute Campus at Mesra,
Ranchi.
Hon’ble Chancellor of the
University H. E. the Governor of
Jharkhand
Shri Syed Sibtey Razi
will preside on the occasion.
Mr. G. Madhavan Nair
Chairman, ISRO &
Secretary, Department of Space,
Govt. of India has very kindly consented to
deliver the Convocation Address.
The recipients of Degree/
Diploma are cordially invited.
Detailed Notification and
Application Form for
attending
convocation/obtaining degree
in absentia are
posted at:

Candidates are requested to
post/courier their
application forms so as to
reach the Registrar latest
by 20th March,
2009.
Candidates are required to
collect their gowns on
Sunday, 29th
March 2009 between 3PM-6PM.
Candidates without gowns
will NOT get Degree /Diploma
during the convocation
ceremony.
Candidates who are unable to
attend the convocation
ceremony should also apply
for their Degree/Diploma
in absentia by
submitting the form
available on the site for
prompt postal delivery.
